Mindy & Adam became an item in April 1996 when Adam was a sophomore and Mindy was a freshman at Cal. They met on a blind date arranged by Jimmy, one of Adam's groomsmen. The set-up was completely random. A couple of weeks before the meeting, Jimmy had invited Mindy's freshman-year roommate to a Sigma Chi semi-formal party. Mindy's roommate wanted to bring along a friend, and asked Jimmy to find her friend a date. The friend turned out to be Mindy, and the date turned out to be Adam.

Mindy and Adam danced the night away at the party. Adam's entire wedding party (minus his brother) and two of Mindy's bridesmaids (Jen & Gina) shared the evening with them. Even though Adam talked non-stop about his 1967 Toyota Landcruiser, Mindy enjoyed his company in spite of herself. In fact, she liked him so much that she invited him to lunch a few of days later. The two became a couple that same day.

Mindy and Adam proceeded to spend the next three years at Cal hiking the Berkeley Hills, partying with friends, and studying together on Level D of the Doe Library Stacks. After graduation, they traveled Europe by themselves for seven weeks, returning to the States with their relationship still intact.

After their trip, Mindy moved to Santa Clara for law school, and Adam moved to San Francisco with friends. Adam helped Mindy through three years of school by visiting her a couple times a week, cooking her meals, and helping her with grocery shopping.

After Mindy graduated from law school, it was Adam's turn to play student when he started business school at USC. Now, Mindy is returning Adam's favor by cooking him semi-edible meals and by attempting other house-wifely duties.

After a long engagement (1 ½ years), the couple can't wait to make their relationship official. Over the years, they have become close to each other's families, and are looking forward to bringing their families together through their marriage. Most of all, they are excited about traveling through life together.
